The official name of the airport on St. Kitts is the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw (RLB) International Airport, while the booking (sabre) code is SKB. The airport can accommodate commercial jumbo jets and handles scheduled non-stop flights - provided by various airlines - from the United Kingdom, Canada and United States, as well as numerous regional commuter flights from within the Caribbean area. RLB International Airport also provides facilities for cargo jets, private jets and various other types of aircraft.

The airport boasts all of the modern conveniences of any world-class international airport of its size, and is widely acclaimed to be the best mid-size airport in the entire Caribbean. RLB International is equipped with state of the art baggage screening and passenger security technology, as well as efficient baggage handling mechanisms.

Additionally, flight information display monitors are conveniently located throughout the facility, and cable news television screens and other entertaining pastime activities are available at the gates. A restaurant and bar is situated in the departures area where patrons can sit and enjoy the view of airport flight activities. A number of retail and duty-free shops offer a varied selection of merchandise and souvenirs.

Taxis meet every flight at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on St. Kitts and Newcastle Airport on Nevis. The taxis are not metered, but fixed rates, in EC dollars, are posted at the airport and at the jetty. Note that rates are the same for 1-4 passengers. On St. Kitts the fare from the airport to the closest hotel in Basseterre is EC$18; to the farthest point, EC$72. Before setting off in a cab, be sure to clarify whether the rate quoted is in EC or U.S. dollars. There's a 50% surcharge for trips made between 10 PM and 6 AM.
