Relocated to Pigeon Beach, one of the most fabulous beaches in Antigua at the entrance to Falmouth Harbour, Catherine’s Café has evolved to Catherine’s Café Plage.
Established 18 years ago, “Catherine’s” has always been a favorite lunch location for ‘those in the know’ who wanted to enjoy French cuisine and delicate wines in good company. Your hosts Claudine and Guillaume, originally from Brittany, took over this charming restaurant 7 years ago, and have brought with them the passion and desire to make the place one where it is easy to select good food and fine wine in a very pleasant atmosphere.
After running the show at the English Harbour Slipway, they have moved this year to Pigeon Beach for the pleasure of all! The restaurant is a beautiful fully open Caribbean beach house with comfortable lounges and private sunbeds right on the Beach. You can access both by road (follow the signs) and sea (water taxi from Falmouth and private dock).
The restaurant offers the same inspired cuisine by chef Fabien, with daily specials on a black board. Simple, always fresh and tasty with a French touch, the Catherine’s Café Plage remains a typical bistro specialized in local seafood. You can pop in with a friend for a delicious salad or a snack and a glass of rosé or reserve a table for a great family reunion and enjoy a three-course lunch or dinner ending with one of the amazing desserts.
In addition this year is ‘La Plage’ the beach bar and its spacious lounge, steps away from the water that offers a light beach menu, creative cocktails and delicious tapas platters until Sunset.
The extensive Wine List is exclusively French! Great selection of Rosé, White, Red and Champagne from the regions of the Loire, Rhone Valley, Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Provence and Champagne.
Catherine’s Café Plage is open six days a week – Wednesday to Monday for lunch and tapas until sunset and on Wednesday and Friday for dinner too! Live Jazz music on Wednesdays and dinner on Friday night. During Christmas, Easter and Antigua’s special events such as Sailing Week; Charter Yacht Show and Classic Yacht Regatta they are open for dinner every night.
