A BRIEF HISTORICAL OVERVIEW

The Antigua & Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute (ABHTI) formerly known as the Hotel Training Center began in 1977 as unit of the Antigua State College.

The Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation (AARF) is a non–profit organization dedicated to the welfare of dogs, puppies, cats and kittens on the Caribbean island of Anguilla.

Founded in September 2000, we are 100% unpaid and 100% volunteer–driven with an adoption center and rescue shelter (map) located within Anguilla’s only veterinary clinic.

To fuel the development of culture through training, research and the creation of opportunities in cultural industries.

The United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) was founded on 16 November 1945.

UNESCO has 195 Members and eight Associate Members. It is governed by the General Conference and the Executive Board. The Secretariat, headed by the Director-General, implements the decisions of these two bodies.

The Organization has more than 50 field offices around the world. Its headquarters are located at Place de Fontenoy in Paris, France, in in an outstanding, Modernist building inaugurated in 1958 and recently renovated.

The Archbold Tropical Research and Education Center (ATREC) is a 198-acre (79 ha) tract of rainforest and agricultural land managed by a Dominican not-for-profit organization in partnership with Clemson University and an international consortium of universities. The Center, located in the Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies, was created in 1989 by a gift to Clemson from the late conservationist and philanthropist John D. Archbold.

The Regional Governments Securities Market (RGSM) is a regional market for the trading of debt instruments of the member states of the ECCU which comprise Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and St Vincent and the Grenadines. The market was established in November 2002 and operates on a fully electronic platform. The instruments on the RGSM take the form of Treasury-bills and bonds and have varying maturities. These securities are backed by the full faith of the governments of the issuing member states.
