Caribbean STAY

Trattoria has some of the most authentic tasting Italian food you will find in Anguilla. That said, they offer some options that have an island flare. They're beach front, open air design still possesses all the style and comfort you want in your fine dining experience.

Trattoria Tramonto & Oasis can be counted on for their great taste in wines and their flavorful grappas with a hint of the islands. Ask for suggestions and whatever you do, be sure to sample their special punch with rum. It's made from scratch and it's delicious.

Peter & Anne moved to Anguilla in 1996 to open Straw Hat Restaurant. Peter, a former video game and television producer, worked in New York for Viacom New Media and then for Nickelodeon® where he was Associate Producer of Blue’s Clues™, a popular children’s program. Anne previously worked for Gartner Group in Stamford, CT where she was a primary salesperson for their European trade show division. After a rocky start, including the rebuilding of the restaurant after Hurricane Georges in 1998, they are quite pleased with the way the restaurant has turned out.

The restaurant is Anguillian owned, built on family land. It was once leased to the English pub, Roy’s Place but today, the Lloyds (from Lloyd’s Guest House) are realizing their dreams.
