New in the 2014 season, a highly professional authorized MTU Service Dealer has opened in St.Martin. A subsidiary of the well-known and highly recommended U.S. company, S&S Diesel Marine Services, Inc, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida - and under the same management - St.Martin Marine Diesel is located in Marigot, at the Marina Port La Royale.
Sebastien Brismeur, company president and owner began working in the marine industry in St.Martin (SXM) when he was just 14 years old, and has continued in the industry for over 20 years. He has spent the last 14 years in the U.S, building and maintaining S&S Diesel Marine Services to be the high quality and experienced business it is today. He was proud to open SXM Marine Diesel Services doors in January to become the only MTU-certified service dealer covering St.Martin, St.Barths, and surrounding islands. Even before the new company officially opened, Sebastien was overwhelmed with the number of inquiries from Yacht Captains and owners from all over the world who were planning their 2014/15 Caribbean itinerary in the knowledge that there is now a certified MTU dealership in St.Martin.
SXM Marine Diesel service and work with the following engine manufacturers: MTU/DDC Series 4000, 2000 & 60 DDC series 71, 92 &m149, DDEC, MDEC, Yanmar, Volvo Penta Diesel and MAN.
Sebastien and the team at SXM Marine Diesel are looking forward to welcoming their customers, both old and new. Serving the Caribbean islands with SXM Marine Diesel, and the south Florida area with S&S Diesel Marine, Sebastien is able to cover an extensive range in order to best suit his customers’ needs. The SXM Marine Diesel workshop is conveniently located dockside at the Marina Royale, and has multiple modes of transportation including a 35’ Scout center console to serve all the main marinas.
“I would then like to thank Sebastien and Gerd for their fantastic work on board and their general cleanliness in the engine room and around crew areas. They both brought the high standard we have come to expect from MTU, so thank you very much and both Sebastien and Gerd, who would be more than welcome on board again.” Second Engineer, M.Y. LUNA.
