Caribbean STAY

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Rituals Coffee has built a name for itself in throughout the Caribbean and now locals and visitors to St. Kitts would be able to experience the same high quality of products and service that are the talk of the region.

The Trinidad and Tobago-based coffeehouse opened its Frigate Bay outlet last night (Feb. 6) in the new Rams building with much splendour, as dozens toured the new facility with live saxophone rhythms in the background.

Customers can choose their own spot in the trendy West Indian coffeehouse: whether to sit in the dining area to get the day off to a good start or to lounge in one of its cosy corners, unwinding after a long day.

Coffee lovers will feel right at home. A list of coffee and non-coffee beverages from espresso and Americano to teas, smoothies and chillers provides countless flavours and blends for every taste.
Early birds can have breakfast with their choice of omelette and pancakes or return for lunch to appease their taste buds with Rituals’ bagels, Panini gourmets, wraps, burgers, sandwiches and salads.

Mario Aboud, Chairman of the Pizza Boys Group of Companies, parent company for Rituals Coffee, told SKNVibes that he was pleased when he “discovered St. Kitts”, noting that he sees great potential for further growth in the “little gem in the Caribbean”. He encouraged the public to try the Rituals experience.
“I guarantee them that the experience they are going to have is something they will never ever forget. We really strive on giving excellent service and I know it is easy to say, but I invite all to come and experience it for themselves. We always have the best products and our quality if always the highest.
"When I first came here, I saw the potential and I fell in love with [the island] and the people. There is a lot of growth here and I think Kittitians should realize that they have past the bad times; it will only get better from here on,” Aboud said.
Among the attendees was former Senator responsible for Tourism Richard Skerritt, who praised the work of Aboud and called his business development in the Caribbean a “fantastic case study”.
Skerritt, who said he is very familiar with the quality of Pizza Boys Group of Companies, reassured locals that Rituals will offer a “comfortable and high quality” setting.
“Mario and his team are here partly because of tourism. Tourism is that force that is bringing increasing demand for goods and services to the island and it has helped to empower our people. While Starbucks was busy closing stores all over the US, Mario and his team have been opening up stores in more locations across the Caribbean.”
Rituals was established five years ago in Trinidad and today the company has over 70 different locations in the Caribbean. The company was able to open its Ross University outlet last week and within a week of its opening, Rituals Coffee has hired about 30 locals to make the new location “grounds for enjoyment”.
