Sea Trek St Maarten is a unique and exciting way to discover the underwater world. The tour takes approximately 2,5 hours and runs several times daily. You start with a 15 minute boat ride to Little Bay, where you will receive a safety briefing on the platform. There is a maximum of twelve people that can go underwater simultaneous, with a minimum of two staff members in the water to secure the safety of all guests.
While you are under water, air will continuously come into your helmet through low pressure hoses. The air pressure inside keeps the water at around shoulder height, which means you can wear prescription glasses and most of the time your hair stays dry. Guided by the safety diver, you climb down a ladder to reach the ocean floor, 20ft down. The underwater trek itself takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
Once back on the platform, there will be an opportunity to buy photos taken of you during your Sea Trek. Also available for purchase are tee shirts, bottled water, sodas and snacks. There’s some room to store your belongings (not secured). It’s recommended to put on your bathing suit prior to the tour because there’s no changing room or restroom available on the platform.
