Caribbean STAY

Ryan hails from a district called Orange Hill in Negril, Jamaica. He graduated from Green Island High School in 1998 and thereafter moved on to a training school where he did a short course in accounting. However the beauty and warmth of the underwater world ignited a love in when he was exposed to the breath-taking deep blue water and its aquatic life.

He learned to swim at the age of 12.  He was taught by two of his uncles who have over 20 years experience as Padi Scuba Instructors. He started out spear fishing with his father and uncles on weekends and in the summer holidays, and pretty soon he would go out to sea to catch fish on his own.

At the age of seventeen he had his first open water experience. His uncle Glen taught him and his brother Butch.  Ever since that time he knew what he wanted to do forever.

He has had experiments with other jobs like accounting, bartending, waitering, front office clerk, taxi operator and caddie on the golf course.  But he came right back to scuba diving where he currently works as a Padi Scuba Instructor.  He is also a Padi Emergency First Response Instructor.

He is married with one son. He loves reading, climbing mountains and watching the sunset. He loves scuba and spear shooting. Even so safety has been an Identifying mark of Ryan. He believes that lives are more important than Money. He  is teaching Scuba for over 8 years now.

Ryan believes that one should never use another person’s mind to think and one should never sacrifice quality for convenience.
