The Mount Gay Round Barbados Race Series at Barbados Cruising Club

The Mount Gay Round Barbados Race Series 2016 kicks off at the Barbados Cruising Club on January 16.

The 80th annual Mount Gay Round Barbados Race Series includes 3 days of coastal racing on the south and west coast of Barbados, and the main event, the Round Barbados Race on Errol Barrow Day, Jan 21st. Racing Yachts range from the windersurfer class to over 180' in length. Any skipper breaking an absolute record for this race, wins their weight in rum!

Saturday 16th January 2016

From 1500 Hrs – 1800 Hrs: Skippers “Weigh in“ at the Barbados Cruising Club
1800 Hrs: Skipper’s Briefing - Radisson Aquatica Hotel
1900 Hrs: Welcome Party at the Barbados Cruising Club

Preliminary Coastal Races and Events - view the action from the Barbados Cruising Club, Tapas Restaurant or The Beach House Restaurant in Holetown. 10 pm start each day in Carlisle Bay.

Carlisle Bay - 7am to 11:30am; finishes 3:30pm onwards
Holetown/Beach House - 8am to noon
Speightstown area - 9am to 1pm
North Point/Animal Flower Cave - 10am to 2pm

The Regatta Dinner is a ticketed event. Each competing yacht will be provided with an allocation of tickets. Additional tickets may be purchased directly from the Regatta Organisers or The Beach House, St. James.

The Grand Prize Giving and Party follows the Regatta Dinner - and is open to all, just come along. No tickets required.
