La Casa del Sonwas created with the idea of having a space in the very heart of Old Havana(down town) where the foreign visitors have the chance to learn , enjoy, and improve their skills about our Cuban traditional dances like Danzon, son, cha cha cha, rumba, salsa, casino rueda, and folklore. A colonial house from 1715 that has been recently and filly restored and refurbished where we want our students to experience an atmosphere of art, music, and dance
We have six salons with the ideal conditions to welcome either students who desire to take private lessons (one professor per student) or a professor for a group. In this case the class is divided by levels: beginners, intermediate students and forward students, each level counts on a main professor and several assistants for a better usage of the lesson time.
Our teachers and assistants have quite a lot of experience teaching dances, they perfectly master the techniques to teach all Cuban dances and they are able to teach either in Spanish or English.
We organize courses according to your own skills and needs taking into account the individual level of capabilities of each student. We do not impose any schedule, we’d rather plan our courses based on your own plans and activities schedules during your stay in Cuba, so that you can freely choose the lesson time, duration, quantity of lessons, frequency or how you want to take them, individually or in group.
