Caribbean STAY

Description of the Scuba-Diving Area
The diving Area is 11 miles (18 kilometers) long, with a seabed that is irregular and complex—with high hillocks, caves, small valleys and steep cliffs—in some places and gently shelving, forming broad terraces that are completely covered by Common Sea Fans (Gorgonia spp.), other gorgonians and coral, in others. The coral reef is in the área closest to the surface. Strict fishing regulations are in effect at all of the scuba-diving sites, so you can see large fish, such as Snappers (Lutjanus spp.), Nassau Groupers (Epinehelus striatus) Yellowfish Groupers (Mycteroperca venenosa), Black Groupers (Mycteroperca bonaci) and Jewfish (Epinephelus ¡tajara). Don't be surprised if Sea Bass (Epinephelus spp.) and Black Groupers (Mycteroperca bonaci) swim cióse to you during dives..
