Within the movement of contemporary visual arts and especially creative women is worth noting the work of the young artist Daymi Izquierdo, for her intense diligence and conceptual questions that serve as the base of her work.
"Offerings to life" is the work title of this second personal exhibition of the work of Daymi, whose centre is a human being: satisfaction, strength, desire, and struggle. A topic that appeals again and again; human in his environment, does not renounce its past, its roots, and its rites. This connection between human and land that is not more than the pursuit of the essence of an ancient past.
Her work is full of symbols, bright colours, precise gestures represented through their characters that are mediators of their African descendants’ roots. And it highlights the work that headlines this exhibition Offerings to life where the artist comes in a ritual with the earth in their quest for freedom; "Stages mutilated" in which her character girl-woman appears in her infinite walk discovered an path before us as a work full of questions for her determination and ingenuity as a woman given by the element that the artist subtly pointing the wrist carrying in her arms. "Prophecies", "Re-evolution" are other examples of handling their symbols through colour.
